“I give up.”
We’re not talking about great literature here. A book - a movie, big difference. I’m sure if the differences were that big there would be a general outcry on the part of the Potterheads.

Curse you Ozzie Newsome, curse you!!!
I got nothing after the two beatings you gave us last year.

I dont need to read her description of automatic writing - it is a black art. It doent matter whether the film does it justice or not.
Actually in the book it is portrayed in an extremely negative light.

Why would I need to read the books when Ive seen the movies? I give up.
Well, at least he's honest about his ignorance. And he still didn't answer this one.
Here's a 'what if' for you. What if your children were REQUIRED to read the HP books as part of a lesson on occultism in society? Would you allow that?

You clearly have never looked around to see how people felt about the movies...

In the interest of full-disclosure, I must admit to having a desire spring into my heart after reading a book. I wanted dearly to build a log raft and lazily float down the Mississippi river with a friend. Guess which book!Has it been banned because it has the N-word in it?

Im sure if the differences were that big there would be a general outcry on the part of the PotterheadsSince you wouldn't read them or follow the Potterheads, how would you know ANY of the differences or omissions? Nothing like being less than half-informed. Hope you don't work in any professional capacity, I'd be worried about the quality.

Some "Potterheads" raise a big outcry each movie complaining about everything that is left out. Those that don't are the ones who understand how much is lost in translation between a book and a movie.

They can take away my membership card for saying this, but I can’t stand the stuff myself. Unfortunately, since I already have Ohio license plates, if I drink anything else while tailgating the crowd starts suspecting I am a closet Browns fan and things get ugly.

“Way to doge the point.”
I made the point. You just don’t like it.
Besides, I remember you saying something like “There’s ABSOLUTELY NO OCCULTISM in HP” -— now you are arguing over shades of meaning in occult practices!!!
To: PetroniusMaximus
Why would I need to read the books when Ive seen the movies? Please, I implore you: back slowly away from the computer. You're really making yourself look bad, here.

You can’t seem to see the forest for the trees. HP is pure occultims in an “entertainment” form.

“Thailand???”
discostu was having trouble sticking to the topic and thought he could make his point easier by attacking me personally.
