“Its fiction, PM. By definition, fiction is not a representation of actual events, so if one were inclined, one could say all fictionis a pack of lies.”
Example: A “fiction” that represents Jesus as not dying on the cross is not merely a morally neutral fiction - but a lie.
It would be a fiction used as a cover for an attempt to deceive.

Hah! I was right!
Harry wonders what Ron and Hermione might do at Professor Slughorns Christmas party under the influence of Butterbeer,
That was the line I was thinking of. Thanks.

In the real world, people are often invited into groups after they have shown some innate aptitude.
To: TalonDJ
Sure, but it is totally over shadowed by the message calling for more gun control.
__________
Please. Learn to read. It calls for the dismantling of the Bill of Rights. And for the institution of Sharia in the US.

“Perhaps. What is not doubtful is that you missed the point.”
What is your point? That I should be quiet?

If on every national guitar day you found, at the B&N, a table of guitar interspersed with porn magazines, what conclusion would you draw? Those damm musicians are getting laid, and I'm not???

After all of these threads, you are the first person to present evidence of true evil in the Harry Potter books.
I salute you sir.
To: PetroniusMaximus
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is organized:
Dumbledore (a man) (#1)) Supreme Mugwump
Snape (a man) (#2)
Professor Minerva McGonagall (a woman) (#2) Deputy
Headmistress (book 1, p. 51) Parallels any occult order:
Imperitor (a man) (#1)
Temple Master (a man) (#2)
Cancellareous (a woman) (#2)
So in the TV show "Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place", the Pizza Place is in fact representative of Hell? And we're all Satan anchovies for devouring this unholy tripe?

Next thing you know he’s gonna try to say that Monty Python lied about the whole grail thing. Dang, it’s like you just can’t trust *anything* anymore.

You just had to go there didnt you? Now all you have to do is explain how the book is a tacit endorsement of Fred over Duncan and supports tattoos as a form of personal expression and all bases will be covered.

Oh it’s much worse than that. The 6th book predicts the Steelers will go 1 and 15 in 2007. Or was that just this Ravens fan dreaming again?

Corin, you make fun of all this. As a Christian, don’t you believe that some occultists have real powers?

Of course, an argument could be made that Death Eaters drink Iron City Light. How else could they get so mean?
To: PetroniusMaximus
What is your point? That I should be quiet? Oh don't be so sensitive. Actually you should consider being quiet because you're embarrassing yourself.
But I'll type this real slow...the POINT was that you say you don't have time to waste reading the Potter books, but you've been here the better part of the afternoon talking about the Potter books.
So you're arguement about not wanting to waste time is a bunch of hooey.
