Ann proceeds to demolish one of the old liberal myths about "blacks claiming (they) couldn't get a cab in New York because (they're) black."

Just because it isn't true, doesn't mean the "liberals" (sorry, "progressives") won't keep repeating it ad infinitum.

B. Hussein Obama got the party started by claiming he couldn't get a cab in New York because he's black. This line was a big hit with white liberals in the audience who have never been to New York.

She is SO right on with this statement. I drive a cab in NYC and if you don`t pick up blacks you DON`T make money! About 1/3rd of the money you make is from blacks EVERYDAY. What cab driver is going to take a 33% pay cut?

This myth that NYC cabs don`t pick up blacks has been going on for years and it`s utterly ridiculous. The fact is when it`s busy NOBODY can hail a cab because they`re all taken, but blacks like slimeball Danny Glover who caused a huge uproar in the late `90`s over this thinks it`s because of this "because I`m black" thing. When it`s slow cab drivers FIGHT over a black who hails a cab, that happened to me today. This brother hailed me and this SOB in another cab cut me off and picked him up.

The only people who don`t get picked up are obvious drunks (for obvious reasons, vomit in the cab is the WORST), someone who looks like a gang member or a crack head, and someone who looks like they are in a big hurry (because they always ask you to take risks, drive fast make illegal turns which = tickets) and for me, anyone wearing a "Hillary for President" tee shirt. Well actually I do pick those up and make pretend I get lost. "You wanted Times Square, here we are in New Jersey" Everyone else GETS picked up!

Not only did he have no trouble getting a cab, but he cited statistics from taxi sting operations that showed a 96 percent compliance rate among cabbies in picking up blacks. (Remarkable, considering that New York cabbies' compliance rate on daily bathing is less than half that.)
