What an a**hole. WE ARE FIGHTING AL-QAEDA IN IRAQ MORON!
Dingy Harry distracts us from fighting Al Queda.
you mean the al qeada that calls iraq the centraql front on the war on terror, the al qeada that dems say we cannot beat, in Iraq the country that they demand we stop fighting in?
they are ‘emboldened’ thanks to idiots like YOU, Reid...
sheesh what an Ahole
This man is deranged and a public menace.
I think he is just constipated. He needs more fibre in his diet!
How does this idiot walk upright?
Just who does Senator Reid think we are fighting in Iraq?
Reid’s Flawed Iraq Strategy Distracts Us From Effectively Fighting An Emboldened Al Qaeda
A little truth never hurt anyone
The logic to this is very simple:
1. Attack AQ on their turf and win.
2. Attack AQ in the USA and get ready to fight US citizens.
I’m surprised he can walk and breath at the same time...
In the fall of 2002, as Congress debated waging war in Iraq, copies of a 92-page assessment of Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction sat in two vaults on Capitol Hill, each protected by armed security guards and available to any member who showed up in person, without staff. But only a few ever did. No more than six senators and a handful of House members read beyond the five-page National Intelligence Estimate executive summary, according to several congressional aides responsible for safeguarding the classified material. - Dana Priest, Washington Post Staff Writer - 04.27.2004
Now we know, Harry could not be bothered to read the NIE before voting to send the troops to war, but he could plan for a year to shut down the Senate over the contents of the NIE when he thought he would gain a partisan advantage.
Excerpt from his November 15th press conference, below.
QUESTION: The Washington Post reported that six senators read the NIE in 2002 before the vote to authorize the war. Did both of you read it?"I think he had no alternative. We had to attack. He had to do what his military advisors told him he should do." - Senator Harry Reid. - 12.17.1998SEN. REID: As indicated last week, Senator Levin has worked very hard to make that public. Now everyone has read it. Everyone has read it.
Question: But before
SEN. REID: Well, youre talking about six senators, and the answer is - the answer, if you ask me - I didnt read it. But I dont know who did. But, you know, theres 100 senators, not six, and some members of the Intelligence Committee may have read it. I dont know. Harry Reid Press Conference - 11.15.2005
"Saddam Hussein 'is too dangerous of a man to be given carte blanche with weapons of mass destruction,' he added." - Senator Harry Reid - 12.17.1998
"You can never underestimate the demonic mind of Saddam Hussein ... The more we let him get away with, the more brazen he becomes." Senator Harry Reid. - 11.03.1997
Despite what Harry Reid would like us to believe, the President never said we were attacked from Iraq on 9/11. Saying otherwise does not make it so.
What the President said, and what you and the rest of the Senate approved, was that after 9/11 it was no longer acceptable to have a rogue state like Iraq, with access to and the ability to make weapons of mass destruction, be allowed to ignore UN inspections and be in a position to pass along WMDs to terrorists.
Total nonsense.
Gosh, for all this focus on al Qaeda in Pakistan you’d think Reid and his elves would be in favor of military operations there. Haven’t heard a plan, though. Funny, that.
So the Islamic scum become “emboldened” by having their asses thoroughly kicked daily by the US military?
This little cowardly sneak and political punk Reid needs to peruse some of the REAL kill ratios coming out of the Middle East sewer.
