That sounds awfully pathetic.

If Fred gets in he’ll be a positive addition to a weak field of candidates. With your guy bringing up the rear, I wouldn’t dig yourself too deep a hole.

Did I read correctly on another thread that this picture in the long blue dress was taken at a Hollywood event when she was PREGNANT?

I think she is beautiful here.

I have studied Fred in much detail. As much as I did Rudy. I’ve read his floor statements, I have read his entire voting record.

His best recommendation is that he is not Rudy and that he esposued government reform. But he was a moderate with unfulfilled federalist leanings. Sorry, that’s just eh way it is.

Many posts coming. :o) You’ll enjoy it.

Yep. Keep saying that. That was the Rudy fans best argument too, before Rudy started to tank. LOL

Yeah, a beautiful, professional, educated, middle age wife with two young children is sure to turn off the American people. You’re right! Maybe Fred should re-think this whole election thing!

Look, if you don’t like Fred Thompson, just say so, don’t beat around the bush with crap about his wife. She’s not running for office. BTW, did you know she used to be an RNC spokeswoman?

Okay that’s fine, but if you don’t think that Thompson’s wife, 20 years his junior, and very attractive won’t be a controversial figure, then I don’t know what to tell you...

Fred ain't Rooty.

When your boy Hunter finally tanks after not being able to crack five percent, you're more than welcome to back a winner in Fred.

Well, frankly I haven't made up my mind about Thompson, as a candidate, since he isn't even a candidate. I don't dislike him, but from what I do know, I have doubts. He was a close associate of John McCain in the Senate, accomplished nothing of note, and is a Hollywood actor with a wife 20 years his junior. The speeches he's given so far have been mainstream conservative, but nothing extraordinary. I do have doubts, that I hope he rebuts as a candidate, but I think that dialogue (including criticism of a candidate) is a good thing...and prospective first ladies will definately be scrutinized.

So have I. I remain open to supporting him for POTUS. Especially since its relatively early. The man deserves an opportunity to make his case for the nomination.

With all the pathetic anti-Fred threads you've posted, you could start your own forum. You may be enjoying yourself for the time being. One day you might wake up and realize that after six months of campaigning, Duncan Hunter has had little impact. Now that could change, but as of right now, his campaign is stalled and going nowhere.

I’m guessing I know Freds record better than 95% of folks here. But I’m happy to share the info. We’ll see how he stands up to scrutiny.

They anti fred threads I and others have posted show a man uncomfortable being clear on some fundamental issues. That’s called fuzz. Been there too many times. Never again.

His record is so unremarkable, that its remarkable. LOL

I know a gaggle of freepers want to crown fred the prom queen. Aint gonna happen.

I'd say about a year ago, the party elites thought it was "his turn" to run, and the nomination was his to lose. The immigration debacle, thankfully, put an end to that.

Senators Edward Kennedy, Robert Byrd, John McCain, Barbara Boxer, Russ Feingold and Diane Feinstein have remarkable records of getting bills passed. Which of those individuals do you want running our government? Shouldn’t a Senator try to keep from making new laws unless absolutely necessary, or are you a “big government” republican?

I’m one who is waiting to see Fred’s actual platform. I find him like Schwarznegger so far in campaign style. Say a few things that noboby disagrees with, like we gotta get the terrorists but not policy pieces. Then people project what they want to believe onto the candidate which may or may not be his position.

For example I saw one lady in a picture at a Fred event with a pro-fred sign talking about the border. But from all indications I’ve seen Fred mainly supports the McCain immigration plan. But we don’t really know.

This is how we need to address the libs and the politcally "sensitive" subjects.

Hunter on Johnny Sutton's Ramos/Compean testimony (Glen Beck show):

HUNTER: You know, that’s about the weakest statement I have ever heard and about the weakest justification for saying that a guy is unarmed. So ask him. Pin him down on this thing. Say, did you search him, did anybody search him and so if you didn’t search him, how do you know he’s unarmed. And hit him with that. And, you know, the other question I’d ask him, if that’s true, how did those 600 people die in Nuevo Laredo, most of them in drug-related murders if guns weren’t used? Do these guys choke to death on their Wheaties in the morning?”

No more damn Mr. congeniality.

I’m not talking about how MANY laws he voted for. I’m talking what did he push, what did he fight against, who did he ally with, what was the point, what did he champion.
