(+/-90% rootybots got the bug zapper in April)
I have had many here preach to me about, supporting Rudy if you care about the court etc.
I fully expected to be banned????
I am not a troll and am saying what I believe.
I have had many here arguing that we have no choice but to support Rudy What`s his name. They tell me, Rudy is the only guy that can win,so just suck it up and support him...that`s what they have been saying to me.
Anyway glad to hear they have been cleared out, I figured I would be as well after giving my opinion?
I must admit I was quite surprised by the amount of hate mail I received.I actually received a death threat from one regular.
I only share the same beliefs as Dr Dobson, Richard Land,Tony Perkins etc. Yes it`s true my grammar is not what it should be but....like I said WOW, unbelievable was the response.
Youre a worthless punk. Ive reported you for abuse and have encouraged others to.
This is a bit over the top...no??
Why ask me? You should ask California Patriot that question.
“Nah - it’s actually better for FR”
I was being kind by using the word “music”. What I was referring to was “liberal noise”. I absolutely disagree that FR is better off having his supporters still here, just not vocalizing their support of a Liberal. I wish every damn one of them would OPUS out. Weak links in a chain we’re all part of, and if we’re going to make it through the long haul, there is no reason to think FR is better off with weak links waiting to start breaking when they’re needed the most.
Rudy won’t be getting the nomination. Being certain of this, it still bothers me that there exists this mindset (not you per se’) that oh...it was all just a mis-understanding. Actually it’s been crystal clear. Negotiate and or compromise your conservative principles with thoughts of some fictitious victory on a front-runner who history says never had a chance, or preserve conservatism.
If someone truely believed he was the only hope to beat Hillary, then I can’t “accept” their principle negotiating, but at least I can better understand their motives. Problem is, most really didn’t have a major problem with his Liberal past. How can a conservative say they could rely on that person to fight for conservative values? It just doesn’t wash. We’ve got Liberal’s “inside the gates” as Jim Robinson puts it.
Hey Buddy.
I’d rather be on here in self-imposed silence than not be able to post at all. While we’ve gone back and forth on Mayor Giuliani (back before the March/April purges) - I think the Mayor has more conservative credentials than you give him credit for. To all of us, sure, NYC is a sewer of leftism - but compare a bear in the forest to a deer in the forest, to use a slightly ham-fisted simile.
What I think underlies the polemical hatred against Mayor Giuliani is what has happened to the GOP as a whole: after the 1994 Uprising, they became the “Establishment”. Conservatism and constitutionalism has washed away from our lovely beach, and, from what I can tell, many of the most loyal soldiers are projecting their righteous anger and using the Mayor as a strawman. The Mayor hasn’t come this far, politically, by being a kneejerk liberal, and I just don’t think it’s fair, within the process, to assume he would be the nation’s Chief Exec and CIC as compromising as he was to a hegemonic NYC.
Give the process some time. And I am not a liberal, by any stretch of the imagination. I like leadership aptitudes in a President, even if such a perceived leader doesn’t agree with me on, say, abortion. By comparison, how would you feel about a former Union president (who also signed pro-’choice’ legislation) running for the GOP Nomination? You’d, rightfully, be skeptical. None of us dislike the 40th President of the United States, in retrospect.
You don’t build up by tearing down. I agree with you: we need to win Senate and Congressional seats back - and accept some imperfections. Pray, think, read, and pray again. The GOP nominee gets my vote - and, like I said, I like all of them (with serious, serious reservations about Senator McCain). Be well and have a great weekend. These are serious, soul-searching times and we really, really are on the same team.

You were called a troll and all sorts of names because of what you wrote.
You say you share the beliefs of Dr Dobson and Land, guess again!
I have no doubt that neither Dr. Dobson or Richard Land believe that casting a vote for RUdy is like spitting on God.
Your post was over the top.
You deseverd everything you got.
Hardy har har. You’re a crackup, Sir Francis.
I'm still here.
What is it that I said, that was so upsetting to so many?
Was it the spitting in God`s face? I think this is true if a Christian votes for a pro abortion/homosexual candidate.
Was it the enemy`s of Christ statement?
I believe that a Christian that votes for Rudy is a enemy of Christ. That`s my opinion, sorry!
I have been flooded by people here telling me about Rudy, they are not gone.I was responding to them.
My post was aimed at so called Christians that where voting for Rudy, I should have kept it to that forum.
As for my Christianity...I am a dirty rotten sinner saved by grace. I love the LORD JESUS. I am not judgmental at all.
Somebody quoted me as saying all gays should be rounded up...that comment was with tongue in cheek. I believe that homosexuality and abortion are the greatest sins, so that is where I am coming from.
My post was fairly tame I think many of you over reacted. If you cant deal with me, maybe some of you have issues??? Now I will go back to obscurity.
What a crock of horse spit!!!
Richard Land said as much on CNN just the other day, so you better do some research.
Do democrats not bleed red like other Marxists or tools of Marxists or other third world insurgents?..
As a Rudy backer (although I will gladly support whoever the eventual nominee is), I find myself shocked after spending a few hours here. You would think that Rudy was John McCain (very close to dropping out), yet when I get into other sites, I realize I am not alone in the world.
Anybody that thinks that it will not be a fight to the finish between Rudy and Fred (although Mitt could still surprise us all) is deluding themselves.
To tell the truth, on paper, Fred should be my number one choice. Yet what I have seen in person has failed to impress me. This is my own personal view, but Rudy does exude Leadership to me, where I just don't have that gut feeling about Fred yet. I am, however willing to wait until closer to the first primaries before I make up my mind 100%.
Freds health also scares me. Not that I think he is hiding any true facts, I just don't want to discover in May of next year that the Dems are successful in using his lymphoma against him. And we all know they will do that. With the help of the MSM, you know every single newscast, and every single 20/20 type show will be doing exposes on the "Truth behind Lymphoma, What are the true survival rates" (which in all reality aren't that good.)
While they could do the same with prostate cancer (and they probably will), Rudy has actually been cured (5 years without a relapse), where Fred is only in remission, and even his own doctors say that more likely than not, it will return. Will the American public want a President that they know will need intense cancer treatment, even if they realize that the treatment will put him back into remission?
Whether or not FreeRepublic wants to keep its head in the sand, or not is up to each and every one of us. Until I am actually banned, I will continue to support Rudy, but I will not get into the childish name calling on either side.
“These are serious, soul-searching times and we really, really are on the same team.”
Yes, and I enjoyed our chat on the other thread last night. Mark would be an excellent AG, I’ll say that...unfortunately, I seriously doubt he would enjoy it. Same reason why many truely good people never bother entering politics.
“Whether or not FreeRepublic wants to keep its head in the sand, or not is up to each and every one of us.”
I suspect we all are here at the luxury of the site owner. I don’t make the rules, and I can’t enforce the rules. As far as sand is concerned, there’s all sorts of good uses for sand. One example is when it’s used for drainage with yards or landscaping. It allows the water to flow through and prevent flooding, that will kill grassroots or other things you may have planted.
Abortion is a sin.
Homosexuality is a sin too, but no more than hetro fornication.
