Why... they only found two union leaders that were firemen during 9/11 to quote? Rush talked about it... there was no other support forthcoming. No surprise that rank and file dim activists would blast a Republican running for President. No, I am NOT a rooty supporter.

firefighters are pretty much Government Employees and probably the majority vote D. The FF’s around here are generally about 100 lbs overweight Not in New York, they're not. Tough to go up 20-odd floors wearing 100 lbs of equipment if you're real fat. Admission to the FDNY is competitive, and these guys are incredible athletes. I've certainly not met any you would expect to vote D. A huge percentage are veterans.

If Giuliani gets the nomination, this kind of thing is going to hurt him in the general. You know, along with all the rest of the wall-to-wall scandal stories the media will run with the day after he clinches the nomination...if he clinches it.
Giuliani is the ‘toons’ best chance to win.

I don’t think it’s partisan. Most NYFD are old school democrats. However, I bet the voted for Reagan and wouldn’t vote for Shrillary.
