Sadly if such an attack come to our shores the Democrats will blame Bush:

• For not knowing about it and doing something to stop it
• Causing the carnage to happen by invading Iraq,
• Failing to consult with allies and the UN before reacting to the attack
• Failing to adequately aid the victims of the attack
• Being insensitive for blaming or appearing to blame Muslims for the attack
• Failing to try to negotiate with the terrorists or Iran and Syria

I totally disagree with that statement. It is an indicator of nothing. What if the reason the US hasn't suffered an attack is because nobody's trying really hard, or allocating enough resources to do it? I wouldn't use that as a metric of success, and neither should the UK.
