He said the commonwealth receives $1.7 million each day from the casino in Plains Township.

This casino just opened several months ago. They are generating over $600 MILLION/year in tax revenue, and that's just one casino. Where is all of this new tax revenue going, Fast Eddy?

Casino workers in Pa are state employees?
WTF?
The state runs all the gambling, yet on-line gambling is dangerous...
What a country.

Andrea Heller of Warrior Run arrived at the casino around 10 p.m. Sunday, hoping to get any last gambling in if the casino was forced to close. “That’s why I’m here”

She's got the gambling jones.

For a lot of gamblers who lack self-control, casinos act as an extra tax on stupidity.

Atlantic City is the worst -- people who can obviously not afford to be pissing their money away, feeding the "one-armed demons," convinced their big payout is just another few dollars away...

Fat Eddy is just capitalizing on it. Supposedly, our property taxes were supposed to go down, but we've need nary hint of that.

It’s called the Bugsy in the state house syndrom.

I think the red bits in NY and PA ought to get together and form their own state.

There are 8 state employees who monitor the casinos’ incomes/tax payments. These employees were to be furloughed, which would have closed down the casinos. Casino workers are not state employees.

This would be the work of our “beloved” Fast Eddy. Never saw a spending increase or tax increase he thought was bad.

OK. I guess that makes a little more sense. Thanks.

We need to give Pittsburgh to Ohio or West Virginia and Philadelphia to New Jersey. That would give us a very Red State.

The State has merely replaced The Mob in the count room.

There’s a difference?

LOL, that's not a fair question for a Monday morning.

Funny, isn’t. All that cash, and the State still cries poor. Yep, I’m sure that gambling generated tax relief is right around the corner.

“Supposedly, our property taxes were supposed to go down, but we’ve need nary hint of that.”

Rendell ran on this issue in 2000 and especially in 2006. I told my wife after he got elected, watch what happens. Lo and behold, Fast Eddy looked at the budget and said he wouldn’t be able to do tax relief again this year.

Idiots in this state probably can’t even remember his campaign commercials so they deserve what they get.

I loathe Fat Eddy with every fiber of my being. I worked against him even back when he was Mayor of Philly. He is an unparalleled sleazebag. Sadly, most PA voters seem to disagree.

We have a sleezebag in Trenton and when NJ had the government shutdown last year over the budget impasse, our esteemed Governor paid all the State employees that he had furloughed. Now that’s the way to save taxpayers money!

I'm sure your sleezebag will do the same. The libs all have the same playbook.

I bet the tollbooths on the PA turnpike are still in business.
