“But again, keep in mind, people ultimately make their own choices in life and all you can do is offer them a professional advice that come from care, compassion and love for our fellow man.”
Yes, people do make their own choices, and often neither you nor we can effect a change in those choices that might make their life, or their dealing with illness, easier.
And yes, we are well aware of the stubornness of patients. Yet we find, as you do, those who are teachable and will make changes. We believe lifestyle changes should be a part of what God accomplishes through whatever means. God often uses the physician in healing. We believe that faith and prayer open the door to healing, and God has infinite ways to accomplish it.
Care, compassion and love for our fellow man is why we reach out with God’s love and His healing touch. We have also found that we don’t have to preach or teach doctrine in doing so - no strings.
Some people, like me, are sensitive to having too much sugar in the diet, but aren't particularly worried about the total calories.
Until recently, I was consuming several diet sodas per day sweetened with aspartame. After readinga book which claimed that aspartame upsets the proper operation of a key neuro-transmitter, I decided to eliminate them.
Much to my surprise, it would appear that the aspartame is very habit-forming. It took weeks for my cravings to subside.
CSPI: The same scumbags who, in the 1980s, actually DEFENDED trans fats. If there were a criminal probe against trans fats, CSPI should be among those prosecuted. I’m sure “Tiny” would love to make Michael Jacobson his “prag”. :-D
