Maybe the GOP did lose the hispanic vote - if they became legal to vote. But it seems Dems have lost some votes themselves:

Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg found that a majority of Republicans and independents opposed the immigration bill. Democrats were split evenly.

I know this is a few days late, but was anyone else intrigued by what Rush said on the Hispanic vote issue on Friday's show?

RUSH: No, because I didn't tell you it would work! I just said, "This is what they're doing. This is one of the things that's motivating them." I think there are countless other things that motivated them on immigration. Believe me (sigh). I have to be discreet about certain things. I'll just tell you that when this was first proposed whenever it was -- it might have been the first term -- and I didn't buy it, emissaries were dispatched to my home. Believe me, I got the facts and figures of how this is all going to work out, and it just never made any sense to me. So, I'm not wrong for saying that's what they wanted to do. They did the miscalculation, not me.

For some reason, I found that fascinating. No surprise that the WH or the RNC tried to court Rush on this, though.
