To: Use It Or Lose It

That meeting took place in early April, and the news articles said that the lawmakers were “gushing”.

There has been NO meeting since.

Newt is MEAN. He is unprincipled, hypocritical, and selfish.

He was committing adultery with an intern while criticizing Clinton for the same thing. He dumped two wives after they became seriously ill, and because he wouldn’t support his family, they had to get help with food and bills from their church.

[Belated] Welcome to FR.

Well-reasoned post, wish more people saw it this way. We have settled many times for someone who is a “he can win” candidate who inevitably disappoints. Hence, initial support for Rudy even though he is antithesis of what we usually think about conservatives and conservative principles. On the contrary, mention of Newt brings immediate chorus of “he can’t win” posts, which makes me think only confirms that he would not only be the best candidate but win in a landslide, unlike last two squeaky presidential elections run by Rovian tactics based on states political demographics and stale slogans but not really articulation of philosophy, ideas or passion.
