Right now I’m watching reports of explosions in Scotland. There’s no reason for us Americans to think it can’t and won’t happen here. Bastards.
Vigilance but no fear, I’m sure you’d agree.
insert omitted letters and words where appropriate.
I agree the word is ‘preparation’, and being ‘prepared’
What strangeness have you seen lately, just curious? Or is it just a feeling? We have certainly gone a long time without a big hit.
I think our big problems will come in late January, 2009 - immediately after Al Gore’s inauguration.
Good advice indeed. Also remember how the media will be looking for anything to happen and want to blow it all out proportion.
A timely warning. Unfortunately, the policies we’ve followed as a nation - open borders, a politically correct approach to our enemy and the war, even our deliberate unwillingness to publically identify that enemy as a nation - has done everything possible to ensure that we repeat the unfortunate events of recent history.
“Call me a crazy, right-wing Christian, but if something catastrophic is to happen, Id put my money on one or more of the sin cities (SF, ATL, LV, or anywhere else theyve had huge homo demonstrations recently).”
Like Oklahoma City?
If I had to bet, I would choose some medium size metro area with lots of families of deployed troops, e.g., Columbus GA, or Fayetteville NC. Why attack areas full of sympathizers?
Yes, but not as significant as one’s 77th
an an early HAPPY 70th!!!!
Absolutely, don’t let this spoil your fun.
That was my other tagline: “Ever Vigilant, Never Fearful”. I’m sure I must have heard that somewhere - but it just came to me one day after 9/11.
We are going to the fireworks at Ft Knox. We watch from the parking lot where I park during the week. It is far enough away from the crowd to be safe, but close enough to see all the display. Besides, I can get the family inside in about 10 seconds.
On the contrary, a perfect time for fireworks. I recall some years when setting off works was a touch-n-go effort at best. We nearly set my friends in the country’s house on fire once, and the woods near by on fire another year. This was west of Austin so I suspect they’re nice and wet this year.
THe London bombings remind me of the catch in Washington before the millenium. More dumb luck to stop them than anything else and one of these time they are going to be the lucky ones.
I agree.
Stay safe everybody.
Good advice. Do not let our guard down.
Without border security, Homeland Security is a sham.
Always be prepared for the unexpected.
Never depend on government to rescue you if the chips hit the floor.
Americans should always be at code yellow.
bump...for vigilance
