“Let the Congress critters have six months to study procedures?”

My position is, if a person doesn’t know the procedures BEFORE they are elected; then they aren’t qualified for the job.

Would you hire someone to drive you around if they didn’t know how to drive? LOL

Lets face it folks, there are plenty of retired people out there who are intelligent, patriotic and CONSERVATIVE;
who could fill these jobs for a couple of years or six in the case of the senate; and we wouldn’t be paying for someone who didn’t know how to MOVE ON after serving ONE term in office!

“The buck stops at the top. The representatives, as a collective, dictate the bureaucracy.”

No shiite! LOL

And it’s time that the buckees were bucked out!

Start electing folks who will vow to run for one term and who will institute and pass a “one term” bill in congress.

We have to start draining the swamp and the time is NOW!

Let me rephrase. Regardless of what they know or don’t know, make them take a six month period for to study procedures, without passing ANY LAWS. They’ll be better people for it. True, anyone who can read can get through a legislative process book in a day or two, but it would be to our benefit to make the Congress critters take a learning period.

Regarding one term offices in congress.

Just think of what we would save by not having to pay retirement PENSIONS for these clowns...and pensions for LIFE of even CRIMINALS who have served in congress, like former ‘Rat Rep. Dan Rostenkowski of Illinois, who is convicted felon drawing a pension of nearly $100,000 annually. He is one of more than a dozen convicted felons from both parties now receiving congressional pensions.

“Mandatory expulsion from office. Brilliant. /s”

“mandatory expulsion?”

noooooo...it is as I propose it...a “one term” office.

“expulsion” suggests that someone is being removed before their term expires which is inaccurate because under my proposal; they would only be elected to ONE TERM!

Got it?

Good!

How do you propose to attract desirable people when you eliminate the possibility of building on their past actions. I don’t believe that every representative of this nation has been nefarious. Throwing everyone out in one term was too extreme for the framers of this nation. I agree with them.

“How do you propose to attract desirable people?”

I have neither the time or the inclination to repeat myself.
Try reading my previous posts...there are plenty of retired folks out there who are experienced, intelligent and more than capable of doing a better job than the currecnt crop of professional politicians.

“I don’t believe that every representative of this nation has been nefarious?”

well I don’t believe “every representative of this nation has been nefarious” either...but we sure have got a HUGE CROP of lifetime professional politicians who have shown they are not only incompetent but HARD OF HEARING!

Good day!
