AMEN!!!
Father, release in us the Power that is ours, for the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. Cause us to use this Power to plead our cause before the Throne of Grace, for our leaders and our defenders and our countrymen. Let this Power become vocal as we speak Your Name and Your purpose ... let this Power overwhelm the enemy as we pray for their salvation.
And may we know, O God, to the very depths of our being, that Yours is the Kingdom ... Yours is the Power ... Yours is the Glory, forever, Amen ...
GREAT article! Some outstanding writing from this guy. Please keep posting his stuff. I think we have a budding New Media star here, maybe another Drudge!
And a bonfire
That is because he thinks that some of the senators who voted for cloture on Tuesday were doing so because they were being “senatorial” by allowing a debate.
Did this line set off anyone else’s irony detectors? Technically one votes for cloture to cut off debate and against it to allow debate to continue. I understand that the real world legislative tactics and strategy differ from the ideal, but still this sentence reads funny, at least to me.
Today’s vote is the most important one. If this bill passes this second cloture (YES to cloture), then consider that amnesty has passed through the Senate. If it fails (40 or more senators voting NO to cloture), this bill dies for the second time.
Things look optimistic now but we can’t let our guard down. On this issue, we face powerful forces - the various corporate lobbies, La Raza, the entire Dim Beltway establishment, and Bush.
Thank you :)
Of course, now that we seem a couple of hours from victory, I can say that I don't think there would be any harm in a little victory celebration/demonstration.
But I was dubious about street politics from our side leading up to this moment.
Essentially, the politics of the streets is the politics of the left. Possibly -- when adequately enraged, as now -- we might mount an impressive demonstration. But, mostly, conservatives are busy with their productive lives and will not come out for a lot of street politics.
If you pump up a big demonstration and it falters, you have handed the MSM the opportunity to portray your side as only a few angry extremists. This is an opportunity that they will not pass it, and it can be deadly.
I understand the impulse to this kind of thing, and I, myself, have the urge to publicly screams at these arrogant politicians. But I think we need to be real cautious.

I hope Dingy Harry disses him a few times today.
My wife wrote Webb just before Memorial Day.
I emailed Webb Monday Night and Wednesday night.
I phone the senator's Richmond office and left voice mail on Monday night and again this morning.
My message was simple: NO. No Amnesty, No cloture. Warner got the same message from me as well.
As my moniker implies I live in Virginia.
Anyone else hear this on Washington Journal?
I think this had to do with Dingy Harry’s and Mitch McConnell’s “Clay Pigeon” strategy.
You might well be right.
Best prayer I've read on FR Quix. Thanks.
Probably delayed from 10:30 to 10:50, so that Reid can gulp down a few antacids..
This is Reid’s tar baby - no one else’s. {Don’t blame Mitch!}
I think this had to do with Dingy Harrys and Mitch McConnells Clay Pigeon strategy.
I’m sure you are correct - it’s just the wording of the sentence that struck me funny - the idea of voting for cloture to allow debate which is at odds with the technical definition.
Amen
