The situation inside the city, 60km (35 miles) north-east of Baghdad, could not be confirmed independently. Translation: Our Al Qaida stringer is not answering his pages (we hope he's OK), and since we're afraid to go out of the Green Zone, we can only report what the lying military are telling us. Once we hear from our good friends in Baquba, we'll report exactly what they want us to say. Our sincere apologies for this sad state of affairs.

"enveloped into a kill sack" That's a new locution for me. I kinda like the sound of it too!

Kill sack ‘em, body bag ‘em...whether it’s 72 virgins or 72 raisins, give ‘em what they’ve prayed for.

Earlier, another US military official said al-Qaeda fighters were being "enveloped into a kill sack". Can't wait to hear more about that!

Translated WWII German terminology I think, canalize the enemy attack with mines and strong points, force him to advance into a 3 sided kill zone and cut off his ‘nads.

You’ve obviously been watching the news coverage carefully, for some time. Nicely done.
A couple pings.
