UK: Now schools are told to let Muslim girls wear head-to-toe 'burkinis' for swimming lessons

There have been controversial demands from the Muslim Council of Britain for Islamic schoolchildren to be given separate changing rooms for sports and swimming, single-sex classes for sex education, prayer rooms, new rights to Islamic worship and different uniform rules.

The National Association of Head Teachers has dismissed the demands as "completely undo-able".

Bravo!  Hopefully this principled stand won't cause the National Association of Head-Teachers' offices to be firebombed.

That's they way it was done in my elementary school in Seattle in the late sixties / early seventies.  The boys were taken out to another classroom.

I was going to comment on the paradox of the photographic attempt to portray as sexy and playful a costume designed to enforce an extreme concept of modesty.

I think this is representative of the larger unwillingness to accept the Islamist incursion for what it is.
