Greg, in the context of history, the verse you cite clearly refers to the book of Revelation itself, and not to the Bible as a whole - which didn’t even exist at the time.

If you can definitively show authorship and dating of the gospel of John and Revelation that would be a heroic act of scholarship that would make you world famous. Direct me to the front page stories about you, oh great one!

I venture to say that not one thing against any Christian or non Christian religion has been said by any LDS on any of these threads, but that doesn’t seem to register either.

WRONG! And I notice you carefully avoid mentioning the dozens of names that the non-mormons have been called by mormon defenders....

Does it bother you that your church buys up documents related to the history of the church and then hides them so no one can see? What is hidden from you? Why would the true church need to hide anything?

But Hofmann also had three other financial victims: the LDS Church, which owns 446 Hofmann forgeries and whose history was challenged by some of Hofmann's more damaging distortions; coin and document dealer Al Rust; and Provo document collector Brent Ashworth. Ashworth, who says he lost his retirement — about $400,000 — to Hofmann, is a self-deprecating attorney with a passion for old papers. He has walls and file cabinets full of Mormon and Americana documents. He used to have a much bigger collection — an original copy of the 13th Amendment, a handwritten letter written by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War — but he traded these and more to Hofmann for early LDS documents that turned out to be bogus.

Apparently they were procured by these individuals. There are no statements that the Church spent money on them or any figure as to that assumption. The article you posted yourself said that Hoffman was unable to complete such a transaction. The Church owns many things, particularly of historic value, that were donated or given, that the Church never paid for.

No tantiboh, the Christ you have faith in is not one with the Father. John 10:30 He is not eternal, John 1:1. He is not sufficient to save you from all sin (see the Mormon theology of “blood atonement”), see also the wearing of undergarments and tithing required to enter the temple which is required to enter the celestial kingdom. But see John 3:16.

Our Christ is eternal, one with the Father for all of time. The father is creator and God of all the heavens. See Job 38:30, not just God of one planet, and not one god among millions or billions or even just 3.

That is the danger for you. You worship what you do not know and turn for understanding to a false prophet. That’s why we talk to you and hope you see . . . We aren’t the judge. Christ is.

Yuppers. Make it a two step transaction and the Mormon faithful are gullible enough to ignore huge numbers of documents hidden from view and still unavailable in Church archives . . . Are you allowed to look at the 1908 McLellin collection? Wasn’t that collection purchased by the church itself?

He didn't add anything to Revelation. Besides which the verse about the Twelve Apostles as judges would add to Revelation by that same reasoning.

and any of his followers

Now you are adding to the The Revelation. LOL!

And why didn’t the Church allow the release of the 1908 papers in the middle of a criminal trial against a forger that had ripped off the church and murdered people? Why does a true Church have to hide its history?
