One can read about the MAY 1 - CELEBRATIONS and their strategy and DEMANDS in a letter to speaker Pelosi.

Their concern is tantamount to saying: “Do not criminalize illegal activities and do not adopt any law enforcement procedures which may be used to separate individuals who are here illegally from the legal immigrant and legal resident alien population. They want to obfuscate the line between legal and illegal by suggesting that the citizens of the United States use euphemisms such as undocumented workers rather than the legally correct and descriptive, "illegal aliens." It should be also noticed that they oppose protective measures which would cripple anti-terrorist activities.

The Honorable Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi The Congress Washington D.C.

Dear Speaker Pelosi

Their 10 demands are listed and the DREAM ACT is listed at number 10.

National Immigrant Solidarity Network

10) Yes to the DREAM Act and LGBT immigrant legislation. We support reintroduction of the DREAM Act and the extension of benefits to lesbian-gay-bi-sexual-transgender (LGBT) families within the family reunification laws, We support the passage of the Uniting American Families Act, and the lifting of the HIV ban on immigration.

...— because public opinion was overwhelmingly opposed to giving taxpayer-subsidized college education to illegal aliens....

We shouldn't be giving taxpayer-subsidized college education to anybody, let alone illegal aliens. Let the freeloaders earn it like the rest of us working stiffs.

Illegal Immigrants Will Receive Welfare Under Senate Bill: Setting the Record Straight
www.heritage.org ^ | June 18, 2007 | Robert E. Rector
FR Posted on 06/18/2007 by dennisw

In criticizing recent Heritage Foundation research on the cost of low-skill immigration and amnesty, proponents of the Senate immigration legislation (S. 1348), including Administration spokesmen, have falsely claimed that the proposal would not give illegal immigrants access to the U.S. welfare system.

While provisions of the Senate bill would delay illegal immigrants' access to welfare for several years, over time nearly all amnesty recipients would be offered legal permanent residence and access to more than 60 federal means-tested welfare programs.

Specifically, Z visa holders would immediately be given Social Security numbers and would begin earning entitlement to Social Security and Medicare (which are not means-tested welfare programs).

Some ten to thirteen years after enactment, amnesty recipients would begin to gain access to a wide variety of means-tested welfare programs, such as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, public housing, and Food Stamps. The amnesty process under S.1348, and the different stages of the process at which amnesty recipients become eligible for different government benefits, are precisely described in "Amnesty Will Cost U.S. Taxpayers at Least $2.6 Trillion."

“Is there ANYTHING in this bill that doesn’t harm America?”

I think it was printed on recycled paper. ;)

Note the ink used carbon that wasn’t offset by a credit.

A Civil War is coming. Prepare yourself now.

It's becoming apparent that you may be correct. The ballot box is useless, and the liberals own the soap box. WTF is wrong with these morons in Washington? Are they completely deaf to the demands of the electorate?

...discriminating against U.S. citizens from out of state and law-abiding foreign students.

In state students will be affected too.

If you have an illegal family with four or five children and $100,000 in annual income, of which $75,000 is on a cash basis, off the books, the family appears to be "poor." Any college students in that family (anchor babies and illegals) will then become eligible for Pell grants, state and University grants, work study, as well as subsidized Perkins and Stafford Loans.

Contrast with a white American family, possibly with legal immigrant parents, earning $50,000, all on the books. Not only will they be punished by high taxes and a higher cost of living, but the college students in the family will be denied grants and receive unsubsidized Stafford Loans. Even more likely is that the parents will have to take out Parent PLUS Loans or even private loans.

In addition, the colleges and universities are legally allowed to discriminate against the white American family (affirmative action). I have no doubt that affirmative action extends to financial aid, too.

The end result is that it doesn't pay to be a U.S. citizen, rather the U.S. citizen is legally obligated to subsidize those who break and scoff at the law.

It's a recipe for disaster.

Come to America, get a college education at our expense! I’ve had it with Washington. Those clowns there don’t represent me, or most of the people in this country. They’re in Washington to feather their own nests. It’s time the corruption of politics that exists in Washington came to an end.

Lott, Graham and McConnell are expecting votes from Latinos out of this. They’re dreaming, of course.

The Kennedys are like the Bonapartes. What’s good for them is good for the nation. And they are born to rule.

Where’s a class action suit by legal US citizens who get socked with out-of-state rates?
