The key is that money is not going to knock Edwards out of the race. He has money to spare, and a steady stream of funding for the future. He will be able to stay in it through the primaries and right up to the Convention.

Will he settle for the #2 slot again?

“i am an optimist, so i think the msm will drive themselves into obsurity before they can do irreparable harm.”

sorry to say, i’m not optimistic. the msm are filled with venomous, hateful creatures just as are other institutions. they are feeling their oats and are on a roll. they must do their harm before the “electorate” (if it still exists after they’re done) experiences the sting of tyranny and realizes who and what they are.

Poor Silky Pony, always a bridesmaid, never a bride!

There's only one way I see that happening. If Obama goes into the Rat convention with 35-45% of the delegates, that means that neither Hillary nor Edwards has even a third each. BUT, if they cut a deal where Hill gets to be the nominee, and Edwards gets to be VP pick (I cannot imagine it going the other way around), they could then 'steal' the nomination from Barry O.

That's a dream scenario, black Americans would be extremely hostile to the Rat ticket like we've never seen. They'd be quite ready to sign up to vote for Thompson/Steele a week later.

John Edwards “Bridge to the Poor” was evidently modeled on the one at Avignon France.

>> He’s the Sanjaya of the Rat Party!

LOL! I don’t watch much teevee... I had to google to figure out who the heck Sanjaya was!

The problem for Edwards: it’s really easy to “take him apart” for anyone with a mind to. Hillary, for example, will have “no problemo”... and even if he were to get the nomination, his opponent will slaughter him on integrity and experience.

Just my humble opinion... I guess it might be delusional thinking but I hope not... he’d be nearly as bad for America as Hillary!

Anybody who put Hillary! Rodham (Clinton) in the VEEP slot would have a really hard time buying Life Insurance.

Silky Pony's best shot is that Hillary! Rodham (Clinton) concentrates her fire on Obama, leaving him with his core support intact. Then, after Obama is toast, Edwards can duke it out, mano a wo-mano with Hillary! Rodham (Clinton) for the anti-War vote.

With Silky Pony, it is a Drawbridge To The Poor...

As soon as Edwards has what he wants, that drawbridge will be pulled up, not to be let down again until it is time to campaign for 2012.

Or do you think he is going to invite the Great Unwashed to his mega-mansion for a backyard BBQ?

Edwards did aid the poor while in office.

While a senator he couldn’t spend all his time suing companies, driving up the cost of everything, which hurts the poor most.

nah...he’s going to give everything he owns to the great unwashed because he’s that kind of guy. (sarcasm off)

I was thinking the same thing as I typed that. Consulting my Magic 8-Ball, it says THE ANSWER IS UNCLEAR...

The bridge at avignon goes to the middle of the river and stops - you can’t get across it. But it looks pretty.

Did you catch Peggy Noonan's oped on Hillary in today's OpinionJournal?

The very first line:

"Hillary Clinton doesn't have to prove she's a man. She has to prove she's a woman."

ROFL! Ain't nothing wrong with your Magic 8-Ball!

He tells me that the Raleigh News and Observer's version of this report "has been heavily edited to omit some of the more damning facts."

It figures!

Whoa, that is hard to imagine because I thought the N & O article was really damaging to him. I hadn't planned on reading this one but I'll have to check it out now.
