Many of us understand what the ultimate sacrifice is, however we don’t need moronic lefties dwelling on that sacrifice. The sacrifice is theirs, not yours to flaunt and re-publicize! I personally knew four of the fallen soldiers but it does no good to the effort if I dwell on it or even remind others who we have lost. Trust me....WE ALL KNOW THAT AMERICAN SOLDIERS ARE DYING! How many schools have been built? How many water purification stations are ther now? How many power production plants have been put into operation? These are the news worthy topics that are worth posting because the MSM won’t cover them.

Late July last year, when the 172nd Stryker Bde. was yanked back into Iraq, soon be be followed by a Bde. of the 1st AD.

What has really been done to increase the size of our ground forces in an attempt to support more and more extended tours with ever shortening dwell times? There is no political courage to fight this war with the resources that are needed.

I’d truly like to see it another way but W is running out the clock and hoping to hand this tar baby to the democrats - whether they get in the White House or not.

The Arabic name of the organization translates literally to “Al Qaeda in the land of the two rivers,” which is often translated in English as “Mesopotamia”—which is just a Greek word meaning “land of the two rivers.”

I hate to defend the NYT, but using the term “Al Qaeda in Mesopoatamia” does not by itself indicate bias.

Cynicism aside, the 14 deaths in two days have to do with other operations going around in Iraq and not the Baqubah one. We will probably take casualties in Baqubah, it is unusual for inner city assults not to take casualties. We are in the middle of a number of major assaults all over Iraq. See:
