Since I found out that Lindsey maintains an office here in Florence (one staffer) at the Federal Building, I no longer send e-mails or call, I drop-in and leave my comments in person.

Well, it’s the threat that only Lindsey can hold the seat that will keep GOP voters in line, as was the case in RI in 2006 with Chafee, but Chafee lost.

Well, we here in Surfside Beach think it IS time for a change.

Same here in Florence. Most people don't pay that much attention to politics, so someone with Lindsey's name recognition and cash will normally skate to re-election. But even people who don't pay close attention understand the basics of the illegal immigration issue, they see the effects of it everyday.

Lindsey had previously torqued-off many conservatives with his "gang-of-14" crap and his frequent Meet the Press appearances with the Hildabeast. Now, even the normally disengaged are realizing that he's not representing our best interests.

-- btw: I just spent a week in Surfside Beach. Very nice.

Not just in S.C. but in the whole of the U.S.

I have lucked out the past 2 Specter elections because a 3rd party (Constitution, I think) fielded a candidate and I didn’t have to bite the bullet and cast a vote for the Democrat. Well, Specter is still there and threatening to run again, and I’ve made up my mind that in the general I’m going to break my hard, fast rule of never voting Democrat, and vote for his opponent no matter what ninny they run against him. I want him gone that bad, and I will encourage everybody I know to do the same. I think it’s passed the point where it doesn’t matter anymore. Specter is a snake, and if he is beaten by another viper, SO WHAT (as Henry Waxman likes to say)!

At this point, SC could run a trained monkey against Graham, and it would be a close race.

C’mon SC, get somebody, anybody to run besides this little twerp.

I will also send money to whomever opposes Graham, if he is a conservative. Just like I sent money to John Thune so he could beat Daschle and everyone knows how that went. And I’m in Florida!

The way they’re all acting I’m starting to think the Antichrist has issued orders to destroy America.

What makes you think he, or the powers behind his rise, haven't? Understand, in order for him to rise, the US, as we currently know it, must fall...

For those of you trying to get ahold of LINDSEY GRAHAMNESTY, he has removed fax numbers from his listings,(not currently available) but here are some that may be good..maybe that is why he has only gotten 3,000 calls and faxes...sneaky little guy isn’t he? Wouldn’t it be nice if he got afew thousand faxes tonight at each of his offices to greet him in the morning?

>>“Lindsey Graham’s shopping basket of talents and performance on a range of issues is pretty big,” said Rick Beltram, chairman of the Spartanburg Republican Party. “He has support in the manufacturing base, he’s got support on trade and textile issues. The polls that we’ve done privately show that he’s still a pretty popular guy in the Upstate of South Carolina.”<<

Good people should go to precinct caucuses and county conventions to vote out the traitors like this party chairman.

You are very generous, but SC people are a strange breed cat. They don’t like “outsiders” recommending that they retire friendly incumbents. They figure if the incumbent is arousing opposition elsewhere, he must be right for SC.

Remember, I think it was the popular Lenin (popular with the US intelligentsia) who said that the USA would destroy itself from within. He muttered that comment with his dour wit.

Conservatives should be wary of aligning themselves against a successful Republican senator. If conservatives back the wrong horse, they’ll appear marginalized and irrelevant to Republican politics. Heed the lesson of the libs and Ned Lamont. Conservatives must not fracture the Republican base over this issue, that would ensure a secure Democrat majority.

I remember Henry Bellmon a staunch Republican Senator from Oklahoma making the same mistake of going against the base of his party to vote for Jimmy Carters Panama treaty give away.

Bellmon paid dearly for that mistaken vote.

He, explained it away by saying he had no choice because Carter forced him to go against the home folks.

Graham still has a choice but his smug Napoleonic ego and know it all attorney Mike Nifong elitists attitude makes him care not one tinkers damn for his voter base.

It’s not my fault that Graham is naive enough to have jumped the shark that will eventually eat his lunch.

Just the lowly opinion of a red state wannabe.
