I’ve been mad at Bush for a few years, but he lost me for good when he got rid of Rummy. Pace’s departure is just another in the line of quisling decisions from our formerly staunch president.

Knowing how cowardly and afraid of his shadow Bush has become,
Doesn't seem to be all that cowardly when it comes to the issue of amensty for illegals, or importing guest workers.

"Everyone knows the Rats would have torn him to pieces." Somehow methinks he was dumped not because of what he would have said of the past but for what he might say about the future. Let's say he was in the line of Generals that got the 'Shinsecki'.

Claudiustg, please see Post #27. Aloha Ronnie did a better job than I was planning on doing (regarding General Pace and his gay statements)?
Aloha Ronnie, I’ll ping you to an outstanding Dennis Miller Rant....you will love it, I think!

Pace is very well respected by the Marines I know. They have always said they would follow him anywhere, anytime.

Ive been mad at Bush for a few years, but he lost me for good when he got rid of Rummy. It seems that he has let a lot of good people go, rather than fight. The ones that I can think of right off hand are; John Bolton, Porter Goss, Rummy, Pace. It seems that he puts in these "fighters" and then doesn't back them up. That isn't entirely true, he did back Rummy, up to a point. But it does seem like when the dems get vocal he eventually caves, the 16 words come to mind.

Sadly, this is what a Bush response is to a loyal servant.
God bless Peter Pace....
We were blessed to have him.
