He stopped off in Stockton today to meet a 3/1 Gold Star father, Mike Anderson. He lost his son, Mike Jr., in Fallujah in ‘04.

Yesterday, Don met up with a drinking/riding club in Sacramento. They rode with him to Stockton today and gave him a nice envelope of cash before they departed. (I don't guess that other plans for Sacramento came together.)
Don is pressing on toward Bakersfield now. It's hot on the road but he said thank God he has an air-conditioned bike. And the faster he goes the more air-conditioned it is!
Don did speak to Mark Walker of the NC Times yesterday for today's article. Mark and a photographer ought to be there on Thursday for the event.
That morning, he'll meet The Spirit of Allegiance around 7:00 am for their ride from LA to Oceanside (see this thread for details about the ride and rally at Camp Pendleton).
