Remember, Chambliss was part of those “Secret Negoations” on this Amnesty Bill. He wasn’t just for it, he was knee deep in drafting it.

"With the money that I would normally donate to the RNC or RNSC, I am now giving to individual candidates who are running against supporters of the Amnesty bill."

I started doing this two years ago. Not another dime to the RNC, NRCC or NRSC. I'm done with all of them.

I would not be at all suprised if Hagel decides NOT TO RUN, He would bail out before he lets Nebraskans defeat him.

Why? Chambliss gets a B+ from NumbersUSA!

I’ll tell you why. There are votes on conservative issues and then there comes a time when a vote could change the face of America forever.

I don’t care if he had a 99% Rating.

If his 1% vote was on an issue that cost us our National Security and Sovernity,
thats enough to oust him.

I’m with you! I have written on the RNC contribution plea that I am going to give my money to candidates around the country who reflect my views, not to the RNC who gives $$$ to the likes of Arlen Specter.

...and he’s the only Republican who has called for the reinstatement of the draft...

Your take on Hagel and Bruning?

It's too early to tell.

Remember, my problem with the senior senator from this state is not because of his differences about Iraq--that could be explained away as aberrant behavior due to some sort of microscopic brain aneurysm, which is common in men of his age--but because he suggested George Bush might be "impeachable".....simply because some vociferous people don't like him.

Talk about thinking like a DUmmie.

That's when he lost me, and I'm usually one of the last Republicans to abandon ship; I like to be sure the ship's sinking, before I jump overboard.

The peril in this for we Nebraska Republicans, and for Republicans in general, is that the Democrats have two strong possible candidates, the mayor of Omaha, a Democrat-machine politician eminently capable of creating 400,000 extra "votes" out of thin air, and the former U.S. Senator Joseph R. ("Bob") Kerrey.

If either of these guys run, we Nebraska Republicans have our work cut out for us.

It is reasonable to assume that the mayor of Omaha would be foursquare behind George Bush re: Iraq, and Kerrey has long been on record as an enthusiastic supporter of George Bush re: Iraq. In fact, Kerrey makes Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut look like a simpering dove.

The problem is, they would be reverse-images of our current senior senator; diligent hawks on Iraq, but far-left rabid wild-eyed radical liberals on all other issues.

As you know, Hagel is generally considered, and ranked, as "the most conservative" U.S. Senator, and either of these Democrats would be a mirror-opposite of him.

Most Nebraskans gave up on Hagel because of his differences about Iraq; I always thought there was plenty of room for dissension, and so that never bothered me. I was "lost," again, when Hagel suggested George Bush could be impeached simply because some people don't like him, nothing more.

Bruning is okay in my book, but my real candidate is the current state treasurer of Nebraska, Shane Osborne--although I doubt he is even old enough to run for the U.S. Senate yet.

In case you've forgotten, Shane Osborne is the navy pilot who caused the first crisis of the Bush administration when, in January 2001, his aircraft was forced down into China.

Others have suggested the current speaker of the state legislature, Michael Flood, and congressmen Jeff Fortenberry (Lincoln) and Lee Terry (Omaha) are always viable.

I have to say that Nebraska, right at this moment, has an embarrassment of riches, when it comes to young and promising talent, all these high-quality Republicans in their 20s and 30s. We have so many of these bright, articulate people, male and female, one wishes Nebraska could "export" them to Republican-poor areas of the country.

RINO Carlito Amesty Hagel will probably be a professional Chris Matthews type of “Conservative” on MSDNC or CNN next year.
