LOL

I dare you to read posts 14 and 17 completely and the reports behind the links. I doubt if you have the intellectual capacity to read reports longer than three paragraphs.

To be honest though, I feel absolute contempt for FREEPERS like you. Feel free to log on to DUmmyland. You will be among fellow traitors and losers.

AP reports have few to do with reality.

It's safer for an American to live in Baghdad than it is to live in Philadelphia. Texas is no exception.

Are you out of your mind? Seriously. The Green Zone is being shelled weekly. Have I missed something going on in Philadelphia? I live in Texas and I don't need 100 soldiers, 3 Apache helicopters and a flack jacket to walk through the market safely.

it’s always going to be viewed as the republicans’ war.

Yep, only Democrats are allowed to fight wars. Its a secret clause in the Constitution. Because when Democrats fight wars its to advance the cause of socialism, not to keep people free.

He had a press that didn’t spit on every move he made. Perhaps it was he was allied with Stalin and all the little commies wanted America to succeed. That’s not true anymore.

128 Americans die every day on American highways. As far as I know, they aren't being shelled. Texas isn't exempt.

Get a grip on the facts. Over 45,000 Americans die from automobile accidents - every year.

When Big Media decides, you lose.

(On the side - if you show up with a signature of "Mr. Know It All", you really should be prepared...)

During WW II we lost 300 soldiers on average EVERY SINGLE DAY of the war.

Just to be statistically fair -- we deployed 4 million troops during WWII. Perhaps you should speak of percentages rather than numbers.

Our force in Iraq is now, and has always been, tiny, tiny, too tiny -- IMHO.

This is sad. Prayers for their families. You are right, our military should be protecting our borders. In our area we have had horrific crimes committed by illegal aliens and also 3rd World immigrants far out of proportion to their numbers.

“14 U.S. soldiers die in Iraq in 3 days
384 U.S. drivers die in 3 days on American roads.”

I dont understand what these two things
have to do with each other.

128 Americans die every day on American highways.

Statistically, there are 200 million Americans on the road in the course of a day.

To perform a statistical comparison, you would calculate that percentage of highway death -- and then compare it to the death percentage of 150,000 troops per day (averaged monthly or yearly).

If I were a U.S. serviceman, I would rather be in Iraq than in Washington, D.C.

At least you can be armed and fight back in Iraq.

I think eventually we'll do just that. At this point, it's likely that a Democrat will be elected President in 2008. He'll probably pull a majority of troops out of Iraq but leave behind enough troops to do some damage against Al-Qaeda when neccessary.

Democrats may be traitors, but I do not think they want to be associated with "failed Iraq policy" and would rather just blame it all on current President Bush without having any proposed solutions on how to really "fix Iraq mess".

Even with the surge, our force is still too tiny in Iraq.

That is what the surge is ultimately doomed.

All we can hope at the moment is to buy enough time for the Iraqi Government to take charge against terrorists without heavy American presence.

We deployed 4 million troops during WWII

Comparing Iraq with WWII is ridiculous.

The Iraq war is more like the war in the Philippines where 126,000 US troops fought and 4,324 died between 1902 and 1913

This format is ridiculous. I didn’t compare it with WWII. The poster in post #29 did. Take it up with him.
