A PAC was formed about a week or so ago to draft a conservative opponent for Chambliss. I would love to see Herman Cain go for it, but I don’t know what the state of his health is.

I have read the bill and am reading the amendments. It’s what I would write if I were writing a satire of a bad immigration bill.

You are right about John Ashcroft - One of the few trustworthy men in the Bush Administration. He was much better as Attorney General than Gonzalez.

Not for illegal immigration but we have got to work out a reasonable guest worker program.This bill is not perfect but it is a framework to try to do something.The process is not helped by name calling and empty threats by a few hundred people making multiple calls to Senators.
Past elections have shown most people on this Forum have a poor record of predicting statewide elections especially in Ga..They just don’t understand the demographics or the constituancies.
