“Bush is clearly on the side of the country club GOP”
His family is a charter member of that country club!! NE Republicans are always have RINO leanings.
“Backers of illegal immigration at a rally near Los Angeles took down an American flag at a U.S. post office, stamped on it and replaced it with a Mexican flag as police looked on, according to witnesses and a video of the event.”
Glad I was not there. Someone would have had the tiremarks of a 37 inch BFG mudder across their squashed head.
My husband’s band worked that campaign in 1978 for Bill Baxley, the Dem. Interesting experience.
On this one, Bush is clearly on the side of the country club GOP; you know, the guys that own businesses and want cheap labor.
Thats what this is about.
I dunno. It seems a circular motive... Once the illegal aliens are legalized, they are legitimate and subject to being taxable labor, thus rendering a good portion of their current "cheapness" null.
Granted, that is still cheaper than unionized w/ health and etc, but still...It would seem the status quo would be more to Big Business' liking.
I don't know what that means, other than that it shakes up the labor side of the equation without necessarily disturbing the traffic across the border.
It would seem that one should look for people who would benefit from that.

No fences will be built
Border Patrols are already neutralized
20 million more will jump the border.
Problem solved............
20 million more will jump the border. Problem solved...
except that the original 20m would then be without work.
We're not talking gubmint bookkeepin here- these are businesses. They truly can project what will happen in such a condition. There's no percentage in it.
The fact that the border is not closing is the key thing for me... maybe drug cartel money behind this...

Hi Bruce,
None of us know for sure who is behind this travesty,
but one thing we can agree on is how evil it is to attempt
it.
Just say NO to Amnesty!! Before its too late!!

Look at it from the Washington Political Wonks point of view...
Which is more likely to pass. A bill that gets the phones ringing, but not much else?
Or a bill that puts millions of screaming Hispanic voters (legal, or otherwise) in the streets, with HOURS of TV coverage?
