Why should we care? Newt couldn’t be elected national dog catcher.

"Everybody who has an opportunity to make even a small difference in the course of the direction of the country has got to look at that very seriously."

Are you listening Condi Rice?

So . . . it’s OK with you for Newt to be waiting in the wings, too, right?

Well, I don't support Newt so what he does is irrelevant.

"Fred T did not pay his dues by participating in the first two debates and by campaigning with all his heart. Will he be there tonight on CNN? Must be nice to just waltz in at the last minute and expect everyone to pay attention because you’re you."

Why is it that you don't seem to be looking at what this man believes rather than whether or not he participates in the political reindeer games? If he has principles and ideas that will make this country a better place, why would you be so put off that he didn't jump in at the earliest possible date?

Thompson, however, said he still was not ready to commit to a 2008 campaign......

Bears repeating...also very true.

"I think that everybody was kind of sitting back, taking it easy and thinking that, you know, peace and prosperity were going to kind of last forever. I think we know better than that now," the former Tennessee senator told The Associated Press. If he was thinking that in 2000, then I don't want him as president.

[The lazy charge] "That's one rap that you can cure," Thompson said.

If that rap needs curing, Thompson, with his dilatory non-campaign thus far, hasn't done anything to cure it.

Especially if Thompson is compared to Romney, who been quite active for months.

Fred’s waiting for the pistol shot to start the race!

(I suspect Fred’s the one with the starter pistol in a holster on his belt.)

If Fred were really serious about saving the day, he’d have been there right from the start. Come on, get real.

Be fair: the attack on the Cole didn’t happen until the end of 2000.

(Yes, other AQ attacks happened before that....)

Silly remark. You do realize that the “start” is significantly earlier this election than ever before and for no particularly good reason, don’t you?

Pfft!

You continue to post silly things. Fred’s campaign is going to leave the rest of the pack in his dust.

He may not be electable anymore, but Newt is a thinker and is able to formulate solutions. Ruby can do this but his stand on gun control proves that his reasoning can be flawed. McPain skips over proper analysis and bases his focus on which way his head is turned. Mittney is more like Newt than the other two in that he applies logical thinking and management awareness to formulate plans that work, but I don’t think he has the natural common sense to quickly recognize and focus on the most important items first the way Fred does.

IIRC, mostly because of the Clinton gun-ban. Those Tennesseans always were ready to fight..... I write from the Alamo state, LOL...
