Newt is quotable, but is he even a player? I recall his negatives are pretty high.

I squirm at his "tone." To me, it's like listening to a lecture when he speaks.

Rudy can appeal to Conservatives?
What’s Newt been smoking?

He’s an academic at heart. He’d make a great History Professor.

Hee—you mean he didn’t include McCain in the “solid” chategory?

When Newt mentions Katrina and then Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani, he proves that he is not serious about this topic.

Newt should either get in the race, or STFU. I think if Newt wants to be President, fine, run, but stop trying to an attention hog.

Newt’s behavior almost costs the GOP the House in 1998.

Been that way for years, Newt.

This is no time to be airing dirty laundry. Newt is a little too cozy with the Clintons, if you ask me.

Gingrich is a right wing Bill Clinton. In fact, Gingrich is probably right wing because he found out it pays. He uses his verbage to support his addiction to females. No thanks!

I like him better when he doesn’t act like this. He has some good ideas, but he violates Reagans rule of not criticizing other Republicans in ways I don’t like. He can diagnose problems and suggest changes without bashing Bush.

::::
Fifty percent of this country NEEDS TO BE LECTURED over and over until they realize that this is America, and not Venezuela or Cuba. This country needs STRONG, NO-BS LEADERSHIP in Washington and tough people who can make it happen who are more concerned with America than their own personal politics....

Rudy can appeal to Conservatives?

Social Conservatives?

Tee hee...err that would be “No”.

Fiscal Conservatives?

Sure?

Small Govt Conservatives?

I can see it happening.

Newt basically said that McCain is toast, I tend to agree, he isn’t raising any money, and he is not getting many endorsements, and he supporting Shamnesty....

A Thompson Candidacy means an end to a McCain candidacy.

Gingrich said in a broadcast interview he believes Bush "means very, very well"

The President's and his fellow transnationlists' plan to flood our nation with the third-world is about the furthest thing from well-intentioned as can be imagined. .....from an American patriot's perspective, anyway.

Much as I love Newt’s talk, his track record is kinda like Bush’s; good out of the gate, but he breaks down close to the finish line.

You are "darn tootin' " he is a player.

Newt is "cleaning up the trash" and clearing the stage up", so that the Republican Party can run an effective and successful campaign in 2008.

No Republican candidate will be able to win in 2008 running on GWB's coattails.

>>Gingrich said two Republicans in the 2008 field, Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani, and one prospective GOP contender, Fred Thompson, are capable of “offering a very bold, dramatic vision” that could appeal to the party’s conservative voters. “These are solid people,” said Gingrich.<<

I like Newt.
But this sounds like kissing up to the three guys with the best chance to win the nomination.

"Gingrich added, "The key question is: Is somebody prepared to stand up and say that the American people deserve fundamental change in Washington?"

Heck, I've been calling for Washingtont to be burnt to the ground. Does that qualify me to be president?

I'm not a super-rich elitist so, guess not. How could I possibly know what's good for the country?

"All you have to do is look at the examples I've given you today where the government simply fails," said Gingrich, citing the administration's handling of the war in Iraq, its immigration policies and response to Hurricane Katrina.

Katrina was a city/state-level failure, Newt, where the Feds then had to play catch up, and clean up.
