We saw it a “few” times with Jordan. It’s also a part of the home court advantage.

Cleveland might be the weakest team ever to make the finals. Not even close DDD. You obviously forgot the eminently forgettable John Starks-led Knicks in 99 (?) when the Spurs walked to their first title.
The Cavs actually match up better with the Spurs than they would have against the Suns or Mavs - especially Phoenix, who likely would have run them off the floor. Cleveland has the post bodies to throw at Duncan which few other Eastern teams have.

The NBA is so happy tonight that the no-name Pistons are out. Without LeBron this could have been the lowest rated Finals in history. Even with LeBron, “Cleveland vs San Antonio” wont do so hot. The NBA desperately need the Knicks, Lakers and especially Celtics to get their damn acts together, or face continually declining ratings.

Damn those Celtics. Years ago when they drafter Eric Montross, most people though it was to play center. Actually the drafted him to drive Dee Brown through the higher priced neighborhoods of Boston.

Imagine what would have happened if the Lakers had bothered to trade for Jason Kidd and Lakers managed to make it to the Finals versus the Cavaliers. Now
THAT would be a final worth watching, the comparison between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

They only have to stop the rest of the team. Stars put up big numbers on the Spurs, but the rest get locked down.

Tip Cleveland;
Have the one player you can live without playing for the Championship and have him kneecap Duncan.
Maybe you can get lucky and have a player or two get up from the bench after the altercation and watch Stern suspend them.

The essence of sport I guess....how sad.

Sounds like a job for "Super" Scott Pollard!

Not to discredit James, but had Laimbeer been playing these days Mr. James would have been knocked down a literal peg or two.
You're right, the Pistons blew it in the previous game and are not worthy of champions to the level as they have been before.

Sorry Cleveland, but if I see a Spurs Sweep in your future.Dream on. Cavs took Spurs 2-0 in the regular seaon. Bad matchup for the Sputters. Duncan's gonna eat some sh*t.

I loved what Charles Barkeley said on TNT tonight before the game “the Pistons are gonna get run out of the damn building” They didn’t play a single good game this whole series...
