” It’s all in how the questions are framed.’
I used to be a fairly large, to me anyway, RNC donor because of Reagan. I got to noticing that the surveys they sent me were actually being used to find out what my hot buttons were so they could use them in composing the next individualized donation request I would receive from them.
Rather than participate in deluding myself, I told them to bug off. It’s like the WOD using taxes to fund lying to the taxpayer. No matter how cynical you get, I’ve found, it’s never enough.

I sometimes donate to candidates, sometimes even a Republican, but never to a Party. They won’t miss my contribution.

I was scratching my head and wondering how much influence Vicente Fox wielded. It's all in the eyes. Mr. Bush has only to gaze into the eyes of any world leader and fall in love. All he sees are the beautiful souls shining from the orbs of other men in power. It may be a psychological thing.

Once the House of Whores realizes a vote for amnesty is a vote for their own electoral defeat, they will realize the smart money is on abandoning this disgraceful lame duck, who sunk even deeper into the mud with his betrayal on “greenhouse emissions” today.
To: Jack Deth
The Immigration Fiasco has finally closed off the spigot in my wallet for contributions. Same here. I'm telling them that anyone who supports amnesty in any way, shape or form will never, ever get another dollar or vote from me.

Pres. Bush waving goodbye to the GOP, his credibility on border security, and his loyal conservative base. Did you see his speech endorsing the Algore Environazis today?
To: RightWhale
I’m the same way. I donate to candidates, not Parties. I’m a conservative, not a Republican.

I am one of the ones they called and I gave them an earful. They also send me mail and I wrote back twice telling them why they were out of luck until they start listening to the base.
To: de meanr
They've called me numerous times. Each time, I really attempted to be polite to the caller, as I knew he/she was merely doing a job, so far Illegal Aliens haven't been hired under the table to do.
I respond by stating very pointedly that until and unless, the Republicans begin shutting down the borders, prosecuting employers who are hiring illegals on a massive scale (not merely meat packers, Tyson Foods comes to mind)and deporting illegals and quit providing entitlements, illegally by the way, to illegal aliens here (which help them to remain here), they'll never again get one nickel from me.
I write the same on all my solicitations by mail, then return them, using the RNC's postage!!!

Yep. his advisors are cretins. He has a 30% approval because of his stabbing conservatives in the back. If he were a warrior FOR his base and the average Joe,he would be over 50%. His "approval" is going to hit the 20's simply because he now has NO one. Liberals for sure aren't impressed by this eleventh hour leftist conversion.

Go to Frum’s site on NR for context.
The context of the analogy revolved around the deterioration of the personal relationship between the two. As in a divorce between two people presumably once in accord with one another, holding the other in respect, but now cannot tolerate being in the same room. Of course in the “WOR” they end ensuring they don’t share the same air anymore..
I think it’s a fairly accurate description of the animosity that exists between the President and his once supporters currently.

I agree but, this is the dirty little truth that few are talking about. We may not need all of them but we sure need some of them. This crap that” Americans will do those jobs” is just that, nonsense. My son has a small restaurant in Denver. For 5 years he has listed dishwasher jobs with the state. Please, if you did not play it to the end you will be shocked!!! Uhh..Fan, I THINK that might have been some creative editing on Laura's part if you are talking about Laura Ingraham's rant. I heard it, but that's the impression I got.
