I know that I’m probably going to get slammed for this but I feel so sorry for this woman.
After working with Psychs, I have seen many like this. She was in horrible pain with the death of her son and was never treated for her depression.
The slime buckets in the antiwar movement then took major advantage of her and when they didn’t need her anymore, kicked her to the wayside.

Now is the time. Get treated and get better Ms. Sheehan. Realize that they were using you and you can be alright with some good meds and counseling. You need to realize that you were nothing more than a paper cutout for your “friends”. But you were taken advantage of, plain and simple. Time will heal those wounds.

Most sensible post on this thread so far. I think she was pretty naive to think that she could change the world single handed. I’m sorry she lost her son. I’m also sorry she lost her mind over losing her son. Hopefully a few years at home, if she still has or can find one, will help her to think everything through. Maybe in a decade or two, she can tell us what she really learned. In the meantime, I think I’m going to ask God to comfort her as best he can.
