Funny that you get THIS article if you Google News “Venezuela” and not actual reporting. The reporting would have to mention that the protests have been going on for five days, are getting bigger, have been met by over-the-top police and thug violence. That one student has been shot dead. That the only other independent cable TV station is now going to be shut down. That it’s owner and general manager have been arrested and reputedly beaten by Chavezista thugs.

Instead, we get words from Carter. I’ve heard he can’t even show his face in that nation. People follow him around with pots and pans, perhaps we should do the same.

Yes, uh, sure, uh, people with a ruthless dictator driving his heel onto their throats should certainly seek a "political dialogue" with said dictator (as the dictator laughs and grinds his heel even harder on their necks).............after all, violence is not the answer................
