It saddens me to watch such great conservative Congressmen as John Culberson, Houston, TX District 7 (Bush 41's old Disrtict) rendered useless while Republicans are being taught some lesson. As a computer scientist that is some logic that will never prove true to me. We got amnesty. Not quite sure that was the lesson!?

I highly doubt many of them will become citizens. So the only shift in party will be those registering as Unenrolled. That is until the now Legal Immigrants are allowed to vote.

BTW, my senators are Sessions and Shelby. They’re both strongly against the bill...they’ll fall by the way-side also for letting things get to this state.

Your basic premise is wrong. The Reps who lost in 2006 did not lose because conservatives wanted to teach them a lesson. If you go race by race there are various reasons why a particular candidate lost. Weldon, Nancy Johnson, Sherwood, Kelly, JD Hayworth, Foley and Delay seats, etc. paint a much different picture. The Dems got a much higher turnout than 2002 and independents went more heavily towards them.

The bill cannot possibly become law unless signed by GWB. Unfortunately for us, GWB will sign the bill.

So wait, are you saying John Culberson lost the election, or that the RINOs aren't paying attention to him? How is any of this the conservatives' fault?

In case your memory has been wiped, conservatives punished Republicans in 2006 precisely because of this issue. And they will punished them even worse in 2008 if they continue on the present course. Keep screaming about the holy Republicans that need our blind undying devotion. Nobody's buying it.
