Birkett is a big time law and order guy, so it looks like there's a coverup going on here, but for some reason the Chicago papers aren't going after this story with their usual zeal. There's no love lost between Birkett and the media, so I'm assuming they're giving the story a pass because they liked Radostits or out of respect for her family.

On the phone? She was plastered. Any word as to who she was calling? You'd think that her drinking partners would have called her a cab, or her spouse.
I'd much rather get a call to pick up my soused spouse than a call from the cops saying she was dead.
