Even if we give first priority to the destruction of terrorist networks, and even if we succeed, there are still governments that could bring us great harm. And there is a clear case that one of these governments in particular represents a virulent threat in a class by itself: Iraq. As far as I am concerned, a final reckoning with that government should be on the table. - Al Gore, before Council On Foreign Relations, Washington, D.C., Feb. 12, 2002.
"If you allow someone like Saddam Hussein to get nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, chemical weapons, biological weapons, how many people is he going to kill with such weapons? He's already demonstrated a willingness to use these weapons. He poison-gassed his own people. He used poison gas and other weapons of mass destruction against his neighbors. This man has no compunction about killing lots and lots of people." -- Al Gore, Dec. 16, 1998

Gore, who is promoting his new book "The Assault on Reason,"
I can't believe he was that honest with the title.

A dumbed-down population demands dumbed-down news. It let's the individual feel informed without actually having to take the trouble to be informed. Run a newscast with nothing but 'hard news' and you will have few viewers.

..."vulnerable as a democracy to mass and continuing distraction."That's just too rich coming from the Distractor in Chief himself, the head global warming pseudoscientist who wants control over every aspect of your life and the loss of democracy.

"...we spend much more time in the public forum talking about -- or receiving information about -- Britney Spears shaving her head or Paris Hilton going to jail?" Gore asked. So if Gore has such a problem with those topics being discussed, why is he discussing them? If he thinks celebrity news is bad, why does he even know about these incidents? Oh yeah, someone post that photo of him in his office, sitting in front of 3 computer monitors and a wide-screen TV...
Al, no one wants to discuss "global warming" 365/24/7.

algore has exaggerate his whole life. From Love Story to Love Canal to I created the Interent to Man Made Global Warming.
He is, without a shadow of a doubt,
an Anti-Christ.

Seems like Al and Jimmah Carter are in a race to see who can marginalize himself the quickest.

Opps those quotes are a “inconvieniant truth” ha ha Al, you crack me up.
You would think he would be happy after inventing the internet, having a movie made about he and Tippers courtship, really being the V.P. and almost being the POUS.
What a guy!
To: 2ndDivisionVet
First he slams "trivialities and nonsense", then he wants us to focus on climate change. Al, make up your mind!
You tell 'em, Al!

gore’s use of the word “reason” in his new book flies against
the emotionalism of his previous two books.

where he was treated to a rock star reception by more than 1,300 cheering and screaming fans...recently nominated for a Nobel Peace Price for his work in drawing attention to climate change, while the film he helped make of his best-selling global warming book "An Inconvenient Truth" earlier this year won an Oscar. Is this the kind of triviality he was referring to.

"vulnerable as a democracy to mass and continuing distraction." That is why we were created as a Representative Republic to buffer the potential harm of mob rule.
And we still are in spite of everything you have done, Vice-President, Mr. Gore, to change us to a Socialist Democracy at the mercy of the dumb masses.
