I can't in any way say that I don't believe gay couples should raise children.
I know a lesbian couple where one of them had 3 children when she started her homosexual life with her "partner". The 2 little girls were 3 and 5 when "Mom" left. She has joint custody with "Dad". The girls are in puberty now and are showing strong signs of homosexuality themselves now. This happens alot.

If these women wanted a child to love, there are plenty of children who are victims of this world. They should have given a home to some of these children already here rather then have artificially created another one.

However I'm not swayed by majority opinion but by faith and conviction to what is right in the eyes of God.
Good for you. I'm glad I'm not alone. But I think Jesus warned us that we would be in the minority.

You hit the nail on the head. Chelsea would have been ripped to shreds.

Where do you think the It Takes A Village stuff comes from?
Surely you don't agree with the Hildebeast in the raising of a child! They learn their values at home.
To: 1rudeboy
Good Lord. You reduce the birth of a child to politics?
But its the truth.
To: IslandJeff
They can’t be homosexual and Christain at the same time. Christain means Christ like. There is nothing Christ like in their lifestyle.
To: ahayes
You are comparing a natural relationship to a homosexual one. Not the same thing.

Jesus would NOT condone homosexaulity. He would tell them they could be forgiven but only if they turn from their gay lifestyle which He calls an abomination.
Like I said, I don't agree with Dick Cheney's support of homosexual marriage, but I also don't have any homosexual children. He supports his daughter and the choices she's made, and while we may not like the choices she's made, I think he's done the right thing standing by her.
In fact, I think it's a very Christian thing for him to stand by her and the baby.

Exactly! Look at all the Hillary is a lezbo comments over the years.
To: jabbermog
You’re right. The sins of the father or mothers in this case, are visited on the children.

A new life has been created and he has a loving family that welcomes him. That isn't SAD. That is a blessing that will result in a happy life for him and his ENTIRE family. It's not sad that he entered the world, but how he did so: Fatherless.
Do a little research on the consequences of that choice, and you'll see what I mean. A boy growing up without a dad, regardless of other "male role models" in his life, will suffer some difficult consequences that boys with dads will not.

I disagree with you. I think homosexuality is a choice. If it was not a choice, then God would not have condemned it.

I dont think any way a baby enters our world is sad. Its a joyous occasion. See my reply to JensMom, post #473, here

I don’t think Dick Cheney supports homosexual marriage. He just recognizes that homosexuals (or people who choose to engage in homosexual activity) exist.
It always amuses me that liberals find it so astounding that the Cheneys don’t drag Mary out in the back yard and shoot her like a rabid dog.

Whatever. Its amazing how the progays try to compare this with something totally unrelated. Thats what the left does.
To: beckysueb
Very simple. Bob and Elizabeth Dole , man and woman. Mary Cheney and Heather, 2 women. Big difference.
I know the difference between men and women, beckysueb ;)
I had been asking about another poster's use of the term "sexual commitment." I don't understand it. The poster seemed to be saying that a relationship solely defined by sex was a "sexual commitment." What defines the Dole's relationship other than sex? That they've both been in the Senate?

"
And sexual behavior between persons who are not united as husband and wife is, by definition, illicit."
And are we to believe heterosexual vs homosexual "illicit" acts are more sinful than the other in God's eyes?

Of course it is. You still love your child but that doesn’t mean you have to accept or embrace their lifestyle.
