Of all the candidates, I give Bloomberg the award for “biggest pretender.” I doubt that he’d get anyone else to vote for him, except maybe his family.

With all the things this guy dislikes, IMHO he is a sick, twisted, egomaniac with both power and money that should be feared by all......

"When I was 15 or so, I had a .22-caliber rifle," he told The New York Times in 2006. "Part of my hearing's gone because of it."

Lying sob. .22s don't even slightly ring the ears.

For sure, they're far quieter than the Rolling Stones concert Blommy attended a few years back -- the one where he tried to have Keith Richards arrested from smoking a (tobacco) cigarette onstage. (It failed -- the cops knew a riot would ensue and disregarded the mayor's insane order).

Thats new to me. I'm glad the officers excercised some good judgment on that. Bloomberg has some serious mental health issues thats for sure. Thanks for the Stones concert story. Interesting.

Actually, .22LRs are some of the most dangerous because of the high-frequency noise. Many people disregard it and end up with hearing loss in the upper regions.

This is very similar to what happens with industrial milling machines. Often, it’s the noises that you’re not “hearing” that are the worst.

But, Bloomie’s still a douchebag, deaf or not ;)

Problem was the rifle was pointed in the wrong direction.

Right, sure. A ladyfinger firecracker is louder than a .22 rifle.

1st thing first.

He is not running for President, I know that for a fact.

2nd, It is not a war on guns, its a war against the 2nd amendment and the constitution.

3rd, If he lost his mind and decided to run, he would run to the left of any democratic candidate, meaning he would help the GOP and hurt the dem nominee since he wouldn't be running as a republican.

And last, again, he is not running, nor does he have any intent to run for President, and he has the political insitincts of a coffee cup, he has no clue nor cares to, about what people want. (In some respects, he is honest about what he is).

Here's a thread from a few years back. Other articles on the story were more detailed, but this was the only one I could dig up.

He’ s a liar! A .22 rifle makes only slightly more noise than a BB gun.

At 5.5 Billion, he’s more a Senator than a President. John better keep a close eye on Terayza.

Hornady 168gr. BTHP over 57gr. W760 in an RP case with WLR primer up Bloombergs (unfired of course).

I guess the most constructive way to look at Bloomberg would be that he’s proof that nobody is completely worthless. On can always serve as a bad example.

I was inclined to agree with you until I found this. I always wondered if my fondness for things that go bang sank my attempt to go to West Point.

I would love for him to run...

It would be an incredible waste of his own money!!!

Hit them where it hurts I suppose...

And if it does, his candidacy would siphon off liberal votes...

Just my take on it...

Unfortunately I can't dispute Bloomberg's allegation but I still think he is a liar whose sole agenda is total disarmament of all people.

FWIW, I have a trap set up in my basement where I periodically shoot my Rueger .22 pistol and my Beeman Kodiak pellet rifle and have no discernable hearing loss......

Besides, since he lost his hearing, all firearms instruction manuals and ranges now mandate hearing protection when firing guns...........

That's bad enough, but his agenda is bigger than that. He's a health nazi.

Has it been checked with an audiogram?
