The marching of a good 'bot never stops: "Davis had been appointed by Bush to serve on the Privacy and Civil Liberties Board".

That sounds like a place for some great mischief.

But whatever. I find that Bushism has become a religion. Jorge is your Higher Power.

Jorge is your Higher Power.

Not at all Laz.

But I would rather be led by him than by a Democrat who would take us back to a 70% top bracket on federal taxes.

Yup...believe Liddy still a McCain man. For the life of me, though, I cannot reason why all the McCain bashing around here. Afterall, the McCain immigration bill has Bush’s approval. McCain’s CFR was signed by Bush. The surge that’s championed by McCain is Bush’s baby. The McCain anti-torture proposal was spearheaded by Bush’s homeland security. About the only things that Bush and McCain have disagreed upon is: 1. pork barrel spending (Bush for, McCain against), 2. Dubai ports (Bush for, McCain against) and 3. Harriet Miers (Bush for, McCain against).

And either way Laz, you are still going over the cliff. It is just a matter of time.

Let’s just see how all this “calamity” works out.

This room is heavy with “wisdom” of the sort that bolsters wierd egos and flags of odd colors and symbols...and in particular, a virulent strain of “Hate America” posing as wry insider knowledge.

It may be informative to watch all these types as this drama unfolds and the unintended consequences rudely pop into view.

George Bush and Lanny Davis were fraternity brothers at Yale. That explains some of it, but not all of it.

Wow! That's true. DKE, not Skull and Bones. According to Wikipedia and US News, Davis was hazed by Bush and others when he joined.

When commissions are formed in Washington isn't it usually expected that the President will appoint a token member of the other party?

In the old days, a Republican could pick a mossbacked old Dixiecrat. There are few of those left around, so Bush went with a Clintonite.

It's not the worst thing he or other Presidents have done.

Debate?

The term is in serious misuse here. “Indictment” perhaps.

“Wanton assault” or “pre-school pile-on” (children just are not as vicious)

Whatever.

This insidious treason will bring its own elegant outcomes
