Most places I've seen pop up quickly, then close as soon as the person running them gets tired of working and feels as though they've made enough money. Perhaps the places you've seen are different.
If people choose to purchase property close to an existing strip club, that's up to them. I never would, and I would fight like crazy if one tried to open up in my neck of the woods.
Again, is it a legitimate business of not?
Depends on the local laws.
Is it private property or not?
Yes, as is my home. I have a right to fight to keep a business out of my neighborhood that I believe will negatively affect the neighborhood. If you want to welcome them into yours, go for it.
You and I agree.......
I simply take these issues to their logical conclusion....when one private property owner's rights are reduced (regardless of our personal opinions), all of our property rights are reduced.
Equal protection under the law applies to all and works both ways....Common law can haunt us....Just a thought!
