It was the least I could do to help the RNC/GOP.

I like it! Today when I was out mowing my lawn I was thinking about what to send the GOP. Now I know. Many Thanks!

I feel your pain.
Tonight, of all nights, I got a call from the RNC requesting a donation. The guy tried to convince me that closing the borders was not a good idea...after yelling, “Not one dime until the borders are closed”, I hung up on the tool.
I thought my head was going to explode! They just don't get it!

I generally don't give any significant amounts to political campaigns or parties, but one of the reasons I do not give small donations ($25 or $50) is because I know it is a waste of money.
If I send $25, for the next two years they will probably spend twice as much sending me mailings. Meaning that my money did no one any good, except for the ad agency they use.
When I see a donation form that says:
[ ] Here's $25 and leave me alone
[ ] Here's $50 and leave me alone
..
..
Then I will send something. I'm a big boy - I know when I can or want to send a donation. Mass mailings are not going to help me decide - I don't even read them.

Here is perhaps a better suggestion to catch their attention:
Every Republican who considers this a sell-out should, within the next week (the quicker the better) change his party affiliation from “Republican” to anything else

That might work. Put me down for $5.

Oldhunk, I would have done that but my state doesn’t require party-specfic registration.

Dear G.O.P.; Might I offer a money saving idea to the leadership. Perhaps you should move The Republican National Headquarters to NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico. That way you may immerse yourselves in the culture you so love and wish to import for your constituency. You know, the little people who vote and make contributions, the same ones that you are supposed to represent--constituants.
Hope you find my suggestion helpful. Have a margarita or two while there but don't loose your head while getting to acquainted with the locals.

Please check the following
[ ] Here's $25 and leave me alone
[ ] Here's $50 and leave me alone
Freep mail me for the address to send it.

This is the best suggestion I’ve seen yet for trying to kill this thing. Perhaps someone can post this idea in it’s own header.

That’s a great idea, Colorado. They can hire some Mexican Nationals, thus helping the economy south of the border so they can buy some American goods in the spirit of NAFTA.
NAFTA - another in-the-ditch program brought to us by Bush 41 & the Bent One.

The immigration bill isn't signed into law yet.
It'll probably die in the House as more conservative Republicans and Blue Dogs will vote against it.

Maybe, EEE. I’m not too hopeful in the Pelosi House.
