IMO, let the tribal leaders deal with “their” enemies in a manner that the fanatics understand. I’m told that during the Vietnam War, the Koreans (ROKs) were feared by the Viet Cong because they knew how they would be dealt with. Let the fanatical Islamic slime be dealt with accordingly.

Iraq would be a very different place from day one if we followed his advice or at least was willing to work with hardnosed secular Sunnis who know how to get the job done.
President Bush said up front that it would be an Iraqi democracy, not an American democracy.
I have an idea that his version of liberal would place him somewhat to the right of most of us...
