Did Al Sharpton sign off on this apology?

How about NAMBLA? Don’t they deserve a specific apology too?

"How many times is he going to say something that's completely offensive to the majority of Americans before people start to say, 'What's going on here?'" said Jason Stephany, political director for the Wisconsin Democratic Party. MAJORITY of Americans are gay? Since when?

What a stupid comment. Guess businesses should also be allowed to fire adulterers if they believe it's immoral conduct.
He was right to apologize.

This all presumes that the boss isn’t gay and might want the right to fire others with similar latitude.

MAJORITY of Americans are gay? Since when? He didn't say that.
Read it again. He said it's a statement that's "offensive to the majority of Americans".

When you post something like this, it would be good to indicate (somehow), “Tommy”

Guess businesses should also be allowed to fire adulterers if they believe it's immoral conduct. A private employer should be able fire me if they don't like the way I comb my hair. (Assuming there is no contract in force.)

“He was right to apologize.”
I agree that he should apologize if it’s not what he meant, but shouldn’t an employer be able to set moral standards for his team?

Just copied the headline. Is it really such a burden to READ the article?

That was a quick flip-flop on the issue. And enough to get Tommy scratched off my list. He must want to be Rudy’s running mate.

Thompson’s “gaffe” was that he apologized. He’s toast.
To: Jorge
Businesses should be able to hire and fire anybody they want. Evidently, you’re a socialist who stumbled onto the wrong site. Good luck.

Yes, and yes...

I thought an employer could fire whomever he saw fit to fire if the situation merited firing.

"What a stupid comment."
Oh, booshwa! Any employer should be able to hire/fire any damned person he wants, for any reason that tickles his fancy.
If you want to play PC, restrict it to the public sector, then YOU get to pay for the folly that will follow. But leave private business out of your social engineering plots.
