I stopped by for a quick look.
It’s ridiculous, so many are contorting themselves to justify Rudy’s stance. A few keep coming up with explanations as to what Rudy’s stance “really” is, and that he is just not explaining it well; that his every word is being parsed and the true meaning is somehow lost.
Hehe, a few are openly wishing that a couple of other posters would be contacted by Rudy’s team to use their abortion explanation. Sounds quite a bit like DU.
Actually, I’ve never particularly liked him as a person either, but I do respect the New York transformation. I think he’s been very effective his whole career. But... I think he would KNOW what to do about the national sovereignty issues, I’m just not sure he WOULD do the right things.
Thanks. Hope you took a shower afterwards.
This whole rudy implosion is happening faster than I had anticipated.
Yes, that’s their new home. A lot of them committed mass freepercide on this bugzapper thread in order to have bragging rights over there.

If it were ever to become apparent that the consensus on FR predominantly accepted a lib-RINO it could carry over into the non-Cyber world and lead the herd instinct left. That would prove disasterous to future of the Republican Party and, ultimately, to our future as a republic. Ultimately, I think JimRob made it crystal clear that the goal of nominating Rudolph Giuliani was at fundamental odds with the stated goals/charter of FreeRepublic.
It was a good decision - a tough one no doubt, but one that had to be made.

***I agree. It was necessary for the health of conservatism, Free Republic, and even the republican party. That’s probably why JimRob exhibited so much patience with these rudophiles beforehand. But push came to shove and JimRob had a decision to make. We should all pray for Free Republic.
Rudybots.... Paging Rudybots....
Imagine the following:
But Giuliani left few questions about his position Friday, telling about 500 students and faculty at the small conservative school that despite his belief that child abuse was "morally wrong" he believes the decision should ultimately be left to individuals and their decisions should be respected.
Sincerely,
Barnacle
