The simple truth is that Hollywood and the MSM is STILL infested with communists, neo-Marxists and other elite leftist totalitarians.

They just think it hasn't been run by the *right people". Them of course.

Never mind that it's incompatible with basic human nature, as is it's generally milder cousin Socialism.

PLEASE don't use that Commie acronym any more. The CORRECT one is HCUA (for House Committee on Un-American Activities). The leftists coined "HUAC" for the express purpose of re-naming the committee "The House Un-American Activities Committee," a clever, but obvious amphiboly intended to imply that if there were any un-American activities involved, they were perpetrated only by the committee itself.
