Here's a nice story from that time. One of the U.S. civilians being transported away as the end approached (I knew him years later) was driving his car to the embarcation point when he saw three Vietnamese children huddled together, crying, by the side of the road. People were rushing past them, and there didn't seem to be any parents around. He stopped and tried to find someone to help them, but eventually it became clear that they were alone and abandoned. He put them in the trunk of his car, told them to be silent, and drove them onto the U.S. ship that was carrying him home. Somehow he wangled permission to keep them on board, and got them to the States. He and his wife adopted them and they were all present at his funeral a couple of years ago. They related the story, one that none of us had ever heard.

Hoy! Pres Bush! How about getting out in front of a story for a change? You know...act instead of react? Like calling the Dems out on their bill? Think it might make it as a headline if the POTUS, stated catagorically that the Dems policy of appeasement and ignoring the threat is exactly the policy that lead to 9/11?
