Fr. Steckler just gave Chris the Sacrament of Healing for the Sick.
Ol King Vanity had a big smile for Father.
King says no more hospital and is just wants his comfy home King size bed that accomadates is flailing without injury unlike the twin hosp beds with siezure pads and all the withen reach lines.
At home I can put those lines of life safely at a distance from his super fast and strong clinch/flailing.
He recieved the body of Christ via his g tube.
The first thing he did when we got home Monday was slowly look around his room checking to see if every little momento of his life and loves where in place.
Odd thing before his latest illness he had a horrible tongue thrust and now it is gone but he keeps biting his tongue instead.
He still LOVES life and even though he is down in health he plans on taking a lickin’ and keep on tickin’ even if it means being home bound.
I get him up 5 days a week so his lungs will stay clear but he has been combative and not real happy about that.
We actually had sunshine two dayz this week and he got into his wheelchair prior to shower time and sunbathed so he got some good nourishment from the sun.
Thank you all for lifting us up in Prayer. God is awesome.

OP! This is the *other* OP. But, you knew that. I never got used to this new name of yours.
Long ago and many “true crimes” between us, you know how I used to read at FR, never daring to join up. I didn’t know then what the story was on OceanPerch and her “cantankerous husband,” as I thought KV was.
I’d laugh and laugh about your “fights” with King Vanity and just loved his nickname. I thought he must be the laziest, most good-for-nothing layabout husband anyone ever had and I would think “why doesn’t that nice lady leave him?”
Honestly, I wondered it for years. And it’s to your credit, of course, that I never had an inkling of the real story until I came to FR and then we both started “talking” elsewhere during sabbatical.
I was blown away at what you had both been through - and what a magnificent human being King Vanity really is - not to mention his mother! I told you about my long-mistaken imaginings and you laughed.
I’ve prayed and prayed for you. And sometimes cried for you. Always envious of your “buppies,” tho, since I am without, and of your amazing and incredible strength. Never in a million years could I have done what you’ve done so well and so admirably. Makes my little penny-ante problems seem like nothing.
So, the boy is tired, Mom - “tired, I tell ya.” Then it’s time to lie down in green pastures, beside the still waters. Let the table be prepared before you both, for your cup continues to runneth over.
