He said he didn’t believe Thompson was a Christian. He had NO business making such a public statement without ever speaking to the subject of his comment.

It's tough to pin this author down, but I believe he is befuddled about why society's losers, parasites, and bums (people he believes should be exclusively members of the Democrat "base") often "routinely elect tax-cutting social conservatives". He likes the theory that people (no matter who they are) prefer humble rich people like Reagan, Bush, and LBJ over snotty elitists like Kerry, Edwards, Kennedy, and every other liberal with vacation homes in Vail and "compounds" in Florida. I think he may be right.
To: dirtboy
Rudy has since redefined the term strict constructionism to allow a judge to uphold Roe as precedent.Huh. Sounds like he is playing both sides against the middle. Probably a smart thing to do, politically.

“I do know a TRUE fact: the writer is a liberal A..hole.”
Thompson scares the liberal Democrats SHIITLESS, because he is the ONLY Republican candidate with both the widespread appeal, and political gravitas to upset the Hillary Coronation...
He is not even running yet, but we are beginning to see story after story from the left about him, while they ignore the likes of Hunter, and pray the Gulianni gets the nod...

I thought the same thing myself. The question might be, "What is it about parents that would name their child "Noam"? Perhaphs it was a typo on the Birth Certificate - should have been "Gnome."

"The thing that concerns me the most abour Thompson is the enthusiasm with which some RINOs have embraced his candidacy. If he is such a good conservative, why are they so happy about him?"
Could you offer an example to provide context? I'm not sure that I understand who you are referring to here.

My opinions about James Dobson were formed WAY before the recent media flap. I’m sure they do delight in misquoting him, but my opinions of him are based on his own words and writings. He is not the be all - end all in child rearing that many Christians make him out to be, IMHO.

Two strikes on Thompson:
He is divorced.
So what, Ronald Reagan was divorced and he was one of our greatest presidents, and since when is it against the law that a candidate can not be divorced?
He was pro-abortion until 1996.
I am really tired of those who say he is or was pro abortion without showing any proof
He doesn't have the “fire in his belly” to run for President.
Baloney, he still has time to enter
James Dobson say he isn't a practicing Christian.
James Dobson is an idiot
Game, set, and match.
