What I found interesting wasn’t that a retread troll would post this but that the New Republic would publish it.
I don’t read NR but I think of them as above this kind of thing. Thompson only served one term so he’s completely justified calling himself a citizen legislator and I couldn’t care less about his lease/purchase arrangement on his pickup truck - at least he pays for his own truck.
